Masayoshi Son plans to announce an investment of 100 billion US dollars in the United States and create 100,000 AI jobs.

According to reports on the evening of December 16, SoftBank Group CEO Masayoshi Son is about to hold talks with US President-elect Donald Trump and announce a huge investment plan during the talks.

It is reported that Masayoshi Son will meet with Trump at Mar-a-Lago in Florida and announce that he will invest US$100 billion in the United States over the next four years and promise to create 100,000 jobs in the AI field.

The funds are expected to be deployed during Trump's term, and may come from multiple sources under SoftBank, such as the Vision Fund, capital projects and chip manufacturer Arm. Some of the funding may have been announced in other projects, such as SoftBank's $1.5 billion investment in technology company OpenAI.

In February this year, Son Zhengyi said that he was raising US$100 billion to establish a chip company to supply semiconductors needed for AI services and compete with Nvidia.

At the end of October, Masayoshi Son emphasized the imminent arrival of artificial superintelligence (ASI) at the Global Business Technology Summit in Saudi Arabia and predicted that this technology will be realized by 2035, and the level of intelligence may reach 10,000 times that of the human brain. He called on the world to increase investment and promote the development of artificial intelligence technology.

After Trump was first elected in 2016, Son also promised to invest US$50 billion in the United States to create 50,000 jobs. SoftBank has completed this goal a year ahead of schedule, injecting funds into the US economy through tools such as the Vision Fund. $47 billion, investing in companies including Slack, DoorDash and WeWork.
